The establishment of mutually beneficial cooperation relations between educational institutions, especially higher education institutions, and the mass media is one of the main requirements of the social order and modern times. Relations with the media are established both at the level of universities and individual faculties. The Faculty of Applied Mathematics and Cybernetics of Baku State University also closely cooperates with media agencies. As a faculty, we constantly try to inform the public through the media about the scientific research results of the teaching staff, conferences, seminars, trainings and other events held in connection with various state holidays and significant historical days, projects implemented by the Student Scientific Society, the Student Trade Union Committee, the Faculty Student Youth Organization, and other areas of our activity. The faculty has ensured systematic work with newspapers, websites, agencies, televisions, as well as social network platforms, which are considered the newest type of media. Our social network accounts have a special role in delivering relevant information about the activities of the Faculty of Applied Mathematics and Cybernetics to the public. Increasing the effectiveness of the work process with media outlets is an important issue that is constantly being kept in the attention of the faculty management. For this purpose, the priority task is to promptly, fully and systematically deliver relevant information about the faculty's activities to the mass media, ensure information exchange with relevant scientific and public institutions, and develop effective cooperation relations with the media.
